Back in the late 60’s and early 70’s, there was an active sailing community in Cohasset, Massachusetts that provided the backdrop for the development of the Alden Ocean Shell.  Singles and doubles were built, sold and rowed for decades as the perfect family boat that could be recreationally rowed by mom, dad or any combination of generations and friends.

Today, that sailing community has an active reputation and Alden is still known for exceptional stability.  Times have changed and we’d like to think that Alden will continue to change with the times, always in an effort to provide the boat that’s perfectly right for you and your family, whether that means a cottage lifestyle or cartopping on the weekends.
